Scaling hydraulic traits from organs to organisms and beyond

Considering ecological processes at different scales is what we do most of the time, yet scaling itself remains difficult. I will present examples from our current research to show the challenges involved in understanding the importance of drought on the water use by trees and forests across different spatial and temporal scales.
