aRchi package for Quantitative Structural Model Treatment for Tree Architecture

16/06/2021 de 11h00 à 12h00PS 2 salle 201

Quantitative Structural Models (QSM) obtained from LiDAR data describe the whole topology and geometry of a tree. They are increasingly used in tree architecture and biomass estimation approaches. While very promising there is a lack of tools to analyse them and extract variables of interest on individual trees. The “aRchi” R package provides a set of tools to manipulate, visualize and compute metrics from QSM. I will present the organization of the package, the basic functions and possible improvements. A short demonstration will also be proposed.
