14/01/2019 de 11h00 à 12h00PS 2 salle 201

Active volcanism occurs in Mexico along the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt that stretches from E to W over 1000 km. There is over 15 active polygenetic volcanoes and thousands of smaller monogenetic volcanoes, many of which imply a significant potential hazard to the people inhabiting the surrounding fertile valleys. During this talk some Mexican volcanoes will be presented, with emphasis on the processes and phenomena that occur at active volcanoes and influence therefore their entire environment.
